History
Founded in 1878 by John Moses Browning in Ogden, Utah, Browning is synonymous with firearms innovation. John Browning invented the Auto-5 (1898), the first successful semi-automatic shotgun, which remained in production for 100 years. After John's death in 1926, Browning continued under his brothers' leadership, later becoming part of FN Herstal. Browning shotguns are manufactured in Belgium, Portugal, Japan, and Turkey. The company's over/unders, particularly the Superposed and Citori, have won countless Olympic medals and championships.
